7 Iconic Bars to Enjoy a Pint this St. Patrick's Day
Nina RossielloEditor; Food, Booze, & Body ArtThe St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City has been a staple event ever since 1762. Yup, you read that right. NYC’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is older than the United States of America itself!! It also makes history as it was the first major event cancelled in New York City due to the 2020 COVID pandemic. The year 2020 was the first time the parade was cancelled in its 258 year history. As of now, there is no news about the 2021 parade, unfortunately. This is devastating news as New Yorkers take the St Patrick’s Day parade very seriously. Each year, there is a sea of green just about everywhere, Irish music playing throughout the city, corned beef and cabbage being served, and of course plenty of green beers to go around. Even though the parade details are inconclusive -- you can check out these iconic Irish pubs throughout NYC, where you can enjoy a (possibly green) beer this St. Patrick’s Day.
